It is essential to us that police K9 officers need to be protected their entire shift and not just when it's convenient to put the vest on. That is why we only donate the LOF Defence StreetFighter vest. The Streetfighter vest is designed so the K-9 can wear it for an extended period of time without fatigue or restricting the freedom of movement.
At the highest Soft Body Armour protection level (level IIIA), the Armoured K9 StreetFighter vest weighs in at an average of 2.3 lbs based on average working dog weight. With an incredibly low weight armour solution combined with engineered ergonomics and Outlast Thermal Management Systems, you provide your K9 with life saving body armour that protects major vital organs, helps prevent heat exhaustion and allows your K9 to retain full agility and work drive.
The K9 StreetFighter was engineered as a lightweight, armoured tracking harness that can be worn for entire shifts without causing mobility stress, fatigue, discomfort or overheating. LOF redesigned the concept of K9 armour based-on feedback from police and military units who have lost their K9 team members in situations where time was not available to equip their dogs with the right gear. The K9 StreetFighter is used by Law Enforcement and Special Forces K9 teams globally. It's lightweight design, rapid deployment and Outlast Thermal Management Technology make the StreetFighter a versatile, comfortable harness working dogs can wear for entire shifts ensuring they are always protected when confronting a threat.
CEO & Founder Brady Snakovsky
Brady's K9 Fund was founded by Brady Snakovsky, an active ten year old in forth grade. He couldn't understand why all K9 officers were not wearing a ballistic vest. After learning that these vests are not automatically issued to the K9's and are very expensive, Brady made it a mission to raise funds in order to protect those who protect us and make sure that they come home at the end of their shift.
Brady enjoys school, baseball, amusement parks, animals, police, and hanging out with his family. When relaxing Brady loves to watch some of his favorite shows such as Live PD and Dirty Jobs. He could not live without candy and string cheese!
COO Leah Tornabene, Brady's Mom
Leah is a busy Mom of three and wife to a police officer. She enjoys traveling, interior design and spending time with her family. She absolutely adores all animals and hopes for her children to grow and become successful and kind adults who learn to give back and not take life for granted.
Board Member Ofc. David Buck Meriden Police, CT
Ofc David Buck began his career as a police officer in Easton, CT in 2004. In 2008 he transferred to the City of Meriden Police Dept who at the time did not have an active K-9 unit. After much research and the training of his own police dog the K-9 Unit was reestablished in 2011. Him and his partner K-9 Anouke have been on hundreds of deployments from narcotics searches, evidence recovery and the tracking of violent suspects and missing persons. Ofc Buck and K-9 Anouke have attend several different tactical training courses to hone their skills as a team. Currently he is training K-9 Anouke's successor who will hopefully be ready when K-9 Anouke retires in the future. Ofc Buck has been the Secretary for the Connecticut Police Work Dog Association since 2015. Ofc Buck knows the value of protecting his K-9 partner and has become involved in our organization mainly because we are donating the LOF Defence Streetfighter vest.
